They will also learn the purpose of reporting and recording incidents. Finally, students will gain an understanding of RIDDOR - what it is, why it is important and the types of injuries that should be reported to them (information sheet included).

They will then have chance to explore some of the different hazards and risks involved with working with animals and finally they should use these examples (and their own knowledge) to complete a risk assessment. Hello, I have put together this information booklet which I have used to help my students complete assignment 5A. The booklet includes information on the main types of 'normal' animal behaviour. This powerpoint provides all the information students need to know about Quantitative checks - as specified by Pearson. Questions for students to answer are on the last slide and I have also included a double-sided A3 crib sheet that students can use to record all the information they need about quantitative checks - this then becomes a very useful revision resource.

This booklet is designed to help students with assignment 5B (Pearson spec) - "To understand the influence of enrichment on an animal" It includes information on the causes of abnormal behaviour, the impact of enrichment and types of enrichment.
